Panel discussion at UNPHU on «The role of the legal consultant in public institutions»

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), and its Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences, prepared the panel: «The role of the legal consultant in public institutions». This was attended by three expert panelists: Raquel Miranda, legal consultant of the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP); Sheiner Adames, Legal Director, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Rey Fernández, legal director of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development. The moderation was delivered by Ariel Gómez, legal officer of ProCompetencia.

In this panel, the following topics were presented: The role of the legal consultant in procurement and procurement processes; The role of the legal consultant to the highest authority and, The role of the consultant in administrative litigation.

The welcome was given by Patricia Perez, director of the Law School, who was representing the Dean of the Faculty, Judge Juan Alfredo Biaggi Lama. Special guests also attended, such as Pedro Montilla, legal consultant to the executive branch who represented Antoliano Peralta, legal consultant to the Executive Department, among others.
