Juan Alfredo Biaggi Lama, dean of the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU), is appointed titular judge of the Electoral Superior Court (TSE), chosen by the National Magistrature Council (CNM).
With BIaggi CNM also chose Ygnacio Pascual Camacho Hidalgo, who wil also be the president judge of TSE; Rosa Fior Dáliza Pérez de García; Pedro Pablo Yermenos Forastieri and Fernando Fernández Cruz.

Lawyer, writer, and researcher, born in 1951 in Batey Central of Barahona.
Graduated from the Law School of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña, (UNPHU) in November 1974.
Biaggi holds a post grade in Constitutional Law from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain; Mercantile Law, by the School of Judicature of the Judiciary Power of Spain; Master in Author Rights and Industrial Property from Universidad de Los Andes, Venezuela.
He is the judge’s first substitute of the President of the Civil Chamber of the Appealing Court of San Cristóbal since 1998.
