Speakers at UNPHU “Geopolitics and its importance in the contemporary world”

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through its Vice Rectory of Postgraduate and Continuing Education, held the talk “Geopolitics and its importance in the contemporary world” by Dr. Iván Gatón, political ambassador, president of FUNHORPAZ. 

Dr. Gatón explained how this discipline influences such an interconnected world and indicated the aspects that make it a fundamental tool to understand and analyze territorial conflicts, geopolitical rivalries, strategic alliances, and global trends. He also addressed how geopolitics impacts international relations and the configuration of world power.
