Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) congratulates its academic vice-chancellor, Dr. Patricia Matos Lluberes, for the presentation and approval of her doctoral thesis with the qualification of Outstanding, in the PhD programme in Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Córdoba, Spain.
The research, entitled “The media and informational competences of students of the Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics oriented to High School Education”, represents a meaningful contribution to teacher training and media literacy in the Dominican educational system.
The quasi-experimental study enabled the implementation and assessment of a training program for future teachers, showing significant improvements in their critical skills and professional performance.
This achievement reaffirms Dr. Matos’ dedication to academic excellence, applied research, and transforming higher education, which she has actively supported since her time at UNPHU.
