UNPHU and REFIDOMSA offer a talk about the Seismic Dangers on Industrial Facilities

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) and REFIDOMSA gave the talk Seismic Dangers on Industrial Facilities; this is an essential subject for the industrial sector because the Dominican Republic is in a zone of high seismic probabilities, and in the country, there are frequent events of this kind. 

At the talk, they addressed different subjects as the protocols to consider during an event of this magnitude. Currently, there is a contingency plan and a highly skilled staff with the experience to handle situations of this kind. As a case study, they outlined the specialized system of REFIDOMSA, with a response capacity to save lives. 

The honor table was headed by Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, president of Dominican Oil Refinery; Ulises Rodríguez, director of Porindustria; and Dr. Eduardo Fierro. By REFIDOMSA, was present Yamilis López, general manager, and Renato Núñez, maintenance manager. UNPHU was represented by Josefina Pepin, vice-rector of Research, Linking and Internationalization, and Dr. José Guillén, director of Special Projects.
