UNPHU attends to the first workshop for the elaboration of “Scientific Research and Technological Innovation Proposals”

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) attended to the first workshop for the elaboration of “Scientific Research and Technological Innovation Proposals” organized by the Department of Superior Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), with the goal to contribute with the community of researchers in the development of the requested skills to elaborate proposals adjusted to the standards of the science and potentially able to be funded. 

Representing UNPHU attended Josefina Pepin, vice rector of Research Projects, Link and Internationalization; and Rosill Rodriguez, coordinator of Management and Control of Projects of the Research Management. 

The activity was coordinated by the Vice Minister of Science and Technology seeks to promote an integral vision of the nature and reach of the National Fund of Innovation and Scientific Technological Development (FONDOCYT) of Dominican Republic; the organ was conceived to promote the advance of sciences, engineering, and technology, in addition to the development of innovative scientific activities to improve the quality of life. 

During the activity the Minister of MESCYT, Doctor Franklin García Fermín emphasized the interest showed by specialist physicians, academics, administrative and finance researchers, and institutions of superior education, as well as the Oncologic Institute Dr. Heriberto Pieter, to promote the scientific research improving the conditions of life of the population. 

The educational course approached nine subjects related with the scientific development and its financial aspects, assisting the request made by the host Oncologic Institute to generate important information in benefit of the participants.
