Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the Vice Rectory of Postgraduate and Continuing Education with the support of the School of Psychology; dictated the webinar “Forced Disappearances: from Crime to Psychosocial Intervention”. This activity is part of the Technical Research Bureau of the master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Psychosocial Intervention.
The objective of this activity was to address the issue of forced disappearances from a multidisciplinary perspective in the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
The topics addressed in the research table were: Forced disappearances, violence, and criminal psychology, violated human rights, criminal conduct and social learning, conflicts (levels of conflict), public policy and citizen security, psychological approach in family of forced disappearances, trauma, crisis, mourning, Public Ministry, National Police, complaint, and legal procedure.
The panel included the graduates: Liliana Díaz, Forensic Psychologist, Celinés Madera, Master in Crisis Intervention, Danisa Cruz, Assistant Attorney for Human Rights and Wilson Miguel Salas Picón, legal psychologist at the Cooperative University of Colombia.
The event was organized by Yolimar Mejías, academic director of the Post Graduate School and Dr. Dulvis Mejía, master’s degree coordinator and UNPHU professor, who served as moderator.
