The research management, through the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU), held the webinar Contamination by Microplastics and it impact in Sea Mollusks (Strombus Pugilis).
At the webinar participated Doctor Dalila Aldana Aranda, biologist by the National School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute and Doctor in Biological Oceanography, Aquaculture and Fishing by the Bretagne Occident University. She is also Doctorate in Biology of Populations by the University of Marseille, France.
This webinar was held as part of the Research Project: “Impact of the Climatic Variability in the Populations of Durita (Strombus pugilis) in Samana Bay: Social economic incidence at local communities”.
The experts approached subjects as: “The world of plastic and its impact on sea species emphasizing mollusks (Strombus pugilis) and in the aquaculture fishing.
