UNPHU Celebrates Birthday of Juan Pablo Duarte

 

On the 205^th anniversary of the birth of the Founding Father Juan Pablo Duarte, on January 26^th, the Rector of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU), Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, together with other university authorities, laid a floral wreath at the plaza of the Founding Father located inside the campus.  This act is held every year, with participation by the university authorities.

Participating in the act were Licenciada Daniela Franco de Guzmán, Academic Vice Rector; Dr. José Rafael Espaillat, Vice Rector for Management and Extensions; Licenciada Josefina Pepín, Vice Rector for Projects, Research and Inter-Institutional Relations; and Professor Juana Guerrero, from the Department of History and Geography.

Also present were students from the various schools and departments throughout the university.
