Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, received in its facilities the visit of the masters nursing graduates Irene Tinocos and Paula Selvi, of the University of Barcelona, who taught the course Basic Life Support, and Vital Signs; also offered explanations of the training of nursing graduates who are trained in Emergency Care and in Emergencies.
The graduates were training a group of nurses, and medical students in the learning classroom of the Objectively Systematized Medical Simulation Hospital (COSMOS) of the university.
During their stay in the country, the graduates rotated through the Dr. Darío Contreras University Teaching Hospital and Salvador B. Gautier Hospital in the various related areas of care in emergencies and hospital emergencies. These are part of the university internship program at the University of Barcelona, which consists of the completion of the postgraduate nursing degree, they do the internship in the Dominican Republic for a period of three weeks.
Dr. William Duke, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of UNPHU, and Aldo Erazo, Director of International Relations were present at the trainings.
