UNPHU, AFP Reserves and Sipen conclude RITA diploma,

SANTO DOMINGO, D.N., November 2025

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), the Administrator of Pension Funds (AFP Reservas), and the Superintendencia de Pensiones (SIPEN) concluded the diploma Regulation, Investments, Workers and Savings (RITA), a key initiative to strengthen the pension and social security system in the Dominican Republic.

The diploma aimed to develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of the Dominican pension system, training AFP Reserves professionals in the sector’s fundamental aspects.

The closing ceremony of the Diploma was led by the Rector of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, the Executive Vice-President of AFP Reservas, Henry Fuentes; the Vice-Rector of Postgraduate and Continuing Education of UNPHU, Geisha Carpio; and Juan Manuel Pérez, Director of Education and Preventive Care of SIPEN.

During the event, certificates were delivered to the participants, represented by Mr. Bryan Rodriguez.

During the program, participants were trained on crucial issues such as the rules governing the system, regulatory mechanisms, structural challenges, and good practices that impact the management of the pension system.
