The Catholic University of Pereira, in Colombia, carried out the international academic route, which began at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, and aimed to exchange ideas and academic experiences in the fields of Psychology and Education.
The day began with the keynote lecture entitled: Social competences and emotional regulation from peer experiences in school, by Ana Sofía Gaviria Cano of UPC and as moderator Ivonne Guzmán, director of the School of Psychology at UNPHU.
The following topics were also presented: Educational resources for emotional education, by Ana Sofía Gaviria Cano, Danna García; Rethinking education in intercultural educational settings, by María Cenicida Alfonso Fernández; Exploring the intersections: Artificial intelligence, psychology and education in the digital era, by Hugo Parada Leal; and Psychosocial intervention in the psychoeducational field, by Dr. Dulvis Mejía. A panel was held where research projects were presented by students from UNPHU and UCP.
Within the activities, a tour of the campus was carried out in which they could appreciate the wide academic offer, benefits and mobility plans offered by the institution to the student community.
The activity was aimed at students of Education and Psychology, and to offer a cultural perspective of an educational system of another country and that could develop professional connections.
