UNPHU Conducts Panel «Connecting Experiences: Female Leadership in Perspective»

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), held the Panel «Connecting experiences: Female leadership in perspective»; in which the presence of entrepreneurs of the acceleration program of companies led by women, students of the University and the general public was highlighted. The event was intended to encourage and empower female leadership in the business sector of the Dominican Republic.

Participants had the opportunity to listen to the experiences and challenges of outstanding women in the business world; who offered advice to consolidate leadership in this area.

The words of welcome were offered by Rubí Rafael Bretón, director of the MSME Center of UNPHU, who highlighted the importance of building bridges and strengthening support networks in women’s leadership. She also stressed that every story shared by women leaders, whether of triumph or challenge, represents a treasure of knowledge that can inspire and guide other women seeking to take a similar path.

At the event were panelists; Doris Flores, CEO of Swanex Stationery, and success story of the entrepreneurship program I; Paola Tineo: MSME Client and success story of ZERO RD; Miriam González, Deputy Director of MSME Support Services in the Vice Ministry of MSME Development; Elizabeth Rojas, 2nd Vice President SME Segment at BHD Bank, and Amarilys Durán, President of the Domínico Internacional Women Entrepreneurs Federation (FEM).

The activity was part of the program of acceleration of companies led by women, which is about a year old, in which participants have received comprehensive training, including personal coaching, trainings, personalized technical assistance and consultancies, thus strengthening their skills and business structures.

The workshop was organized by UNPHU’s MSME Center, and was held on January 31 2023, in the Conference Hall.
