UNPHU, MESCyT and ENAE Sign Specific Tripartite Collaboration Agreement

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) and Fundación Universidad Empresa de la Region de Murcia (FUERM), the governing institution of the ENAE Business School, signed a specific tripartite collaboration agreement.

The institutions have as common interest the training of quality human resources in the agricultural area, specifically in the Directorate of Agribusiness for Export, with a view to raising the level of training of professionals in this area of expertise.

With this agreement, the three institutions seek to join efforts to strengthen education at the social and agricultural levels in the Dominican Republic, with the aim of promoting the development of sustainable knowledge in the country.

For the effectiveness of this agreement, the institutions will be offering the Master’s program in Agribusiness Management of the ENAE Business School, with double degrees between UNPHU and ENAE Business School, from Murcia, Spain and through collaboration in contributions of scholarships to 100% of the MESCyT. This program will be developed in online format and will a term of two academic years.

The rubric was made in hybrid mode. Present on behalf of UNPHU, university rector, architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, Dr. Leonor Farray Bergés, Vice Chancellor of Postgraduate and Continuing Education and the Yolimar Mejías, academic director of the Graduate School. And in virtual mode, by the MESCyT, Minister Dr. Franklin García Fermín, and the Deputy Administrative and Financial Minister, José Antonio Cancel; while representing the ENAE Business School, Dr. Miguel González, Dean, and Dr. Jesús Gambín, academic director of the program.

About the Master in Agribusiness Management

The program is designed in accordance with the training needs in Agribusiness existing in the different international business sectors, with a flexible design set on independent courses. The courses are structured with rigorous content, necessary and fully adapted to the demands of the management of Agribusiness of current companies, combining the basic knowledge of conventional management with the essential specialization derived from the changes introduced in the markets by the Internet and the new information technologies.

The Master’s program in Agribusiness Management for Export, which is the subject of this agreement, consists of 60 ECTS credits (a total of 1,500 hours), 48 of them distributed among 16 modules, one of them being creditable business practices. The remaining 12 credits, a total of 300 hours, corresponding to the Final Master’s Work, which will be carried out in a group.
