Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), received the visit of representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM). The group was led by the Deputy Minister of Industrial Development, Fantino Polanco, joined by Ms. Pamela Soto, in charge of Productivity Promotion and Innovation of the Vice-Ministry of Industrial Development, together with Ms. Denise F. Resek, sectoral analyst of the Vice-Ministry.
The deputy minister and his companions were received by Josefina Pepín, Vice-Chancellor of Research, Linkage and Internationalization Projects and Dolly Martínez, Director of Environment and Natural Resources.
During the visit, a tour of the campus was made that included the Advanced Architecture unit, the Cosmos center, and the Master Plan of the University.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen relations and analyze future projects.
About the MICM
The MICM is the governing body and is responsible for the formulation, adoption, monitoring, evaluation and control of policies, strategies, master plans, programs, projects, and services in the sectors of industry, exports, domestic and foreign trade, free zones, special regimes and MSMEs. It includes the marketing, control, and supply of the market for petroleum products and other fuels, in accordance with the guidelines and priorities of the Central Government.
