UNPHU Presents Conference on the Influence of Citizens

As part of the alliance between the UNPHU MIPYMES Center and the Banco BHD León, these institutions held 18 trainings on 9 topics dealing with the improvement and growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the Dominican Republic.

During the sixth season for Pymes Businesses held by the Banco BHD León, 18 training sessions were offered free of charge to entrepreneurs from the sector of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in the country; the training was given by the UNPHU MIPYMES Center on 9 topics of interest to this segment.

This training program is expected to receive in its classroom sessions over 1,800 entrepreneurs from the mipymes sector, and over 900 additional individuals connected via live transmission through Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter platforms and live streaming that will allow them to participate and interact in the sessions over social networks.  In addition, participants in the classroom and on-line will be able to obtain certificates of participation.

Juan Enrique Rosales, director of the UNPHU MIPYMES Center, described this joint proposal with the Banco BHD Leon as “the best way to be socially responsible with the management of mipymes businesses, as education is synonymous with progress.”

The sessions are free and open to all entrepreneurs from the Dominican mipymes sector, including clients and non-clients of the BHD Leon or the Center.   Those interested in participating can sign up through the link http://negocios.bhdleon.com.do/ and obtain more information on the social network platforms for both institutions.

“The UNPHU MIPYMES Center and the Banco BHD León are providing tools for entrepreneurial management and the development of business skills to benefit mipymes entrepreneurs throughout the country,” Rosales added.

The training sessions that will be transmitted live are “Financial Management of Your Business” on October 10th, 2017, and “Modern Sales Techniques” on October 25th, 2017, both to be transmitted from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M..  The session on “How To Collect Without Dying in the Attempt” will be transmitted on November 11th, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M..

In addition to the training program, Banco BHD León clients can receive free entrepreneurial counselling services, linkage, and technical assistance offered by the UNPHU MIPYMES Center.
