UNPHU Recognizes Mr. Miguel Reyes Sánchez

 

The Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU) formally recognized Mr. Miguel Reyes Sánchez, International Relations advisor to the Office of the Governor of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) and a graduate of this university.

The recognition was bestowed because of his professional level, his contributions to Dominican society and his cultural work, which is catalogued in important libraries around the world.

Reyes Sánchez received the certificate of recognition from Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón, Rector of the UNPHU.  The ceremony, which was held in the office of the Rector, was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Valentino Ji Zen Tang; Ellin Rodríguez Luna, Director of the UNPHU Alumni Department; special guests, relatives of the guest of honor, friends, and associates.

Reyes Sánchez expressed his thanks for this important distinction, and said he hopes to continue contributing to society.

Miguel Reyes, born in Santo Domingo, is a diplomat, prolific writer, historian, essayist, and attorney, as well as the winner of the most important literary prizes in the Dominican Republic.  He holds a master´s degree summa cum laude in Diplomatic Studies from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo.
