Graduates unphu receiving prize in competition spaces futures first edition
Graduated from the career of Architecture of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) where awarded with the first place of the first edition of Spaces of Future.
The awarded architect where architect Alba Mota, Alan García, Vielka Vargas, Itamar Mueses and Wendy Morel; in the category of Public Spaces, with the proposal Evox.
Spaces of Future is a national call open to all public for the search of innovative proposals of transformation of the public and private spaces of the urban surroundings in Dominican Republic, with the purpose to adapt it to the challenges outlined by the pandemic and the new normality, with an approach of sustainability, collaboration, inclusion, and resilience.
The awarded received a metallic prize valued on RD$250,000.00, from the hands of the Laboratory of Acceleration of the United Nations Development Programme (PNUD) and the National Net of Entrepreneurial Support to the environmental support (ECORED).
The event was held of the Pyhex Work headquarters with the intervention of Inka Mattila, resident representative in the country of the PNUD; Mariel Bera, president of ECORED and Mauricio Ramirez Villegas, resident coordinator of the System of United Nations in Dominican Republic. The event has the support and participation of institutions of the private sector and agencies of United Nations.
