Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the Directorate of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management and its School of Civil Engineering, recognized as Distinguished Graduates the civil engineers Ninosca Victoria Antonia Alcántara Damirón and Francisco Gabriel Martínez Lizardo; for their contributions, commitment and outstanding work for the benefit of society.
The graduates received the certificates from the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Engineer Doris Peña, accompanied by Engineer César Mercedes, director of the School of Civil Engineering and Laura Veloz Espejo, Director of the Department of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management at UNPHU.
The event was held at the university’s Rectory on August 18, 2022, during the celebration of Engineer’s Day.
On Distinguished Graduates
Francisco Gabriel Martínez Lizardo, is recognized by his structural consultancies and the execution of solutions of reinforcement and structural design, as well as in the construction of buildings. He has served as director and project manager in different institutions. He is a member of the Academic Quality Unit at UNPHU, and professor.
Ninosca Victoria Antonia Alcántara Damirón, is member of the Dominican diaspora, and she stands out for occupying positions of high relevance in the public sector in the United States. She currently serves as executive director of the Hudson Valley Bridge Authority.
