UNPHU welcomes representatives of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña hosted Joel Vélez, Director of International Relations, and Dr. Ángel Muñoz, Director of the School of Elderly Caregivers, both representatives of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PUCPR). They were received by Aldo Erazo, director of international relations at the university.

During the visit, academics gave a series of lectures to students and teachers. Dr. Ángel Muñoz gave two lectures entitled: “Promotion of quality care and care for the elderly at home” and “Strategies for self-care in the caregiver of the elderly”. Meanwhile, Mr. Joel Vélez, held the talk: “Professional opportunities at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PUCPR)”.

With this meeting, both institutions hope to strengthen collaboration, to increase academic activities for the benefit of the student community of the institutions.

These activities were carried out through the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Directorate of International Relations at UNPHU, in coordination with the Elderly School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PUCPR) and its department of International Relations, on Wednesday, 13 and Thursday, 14 September, in the Conference Room of Building 3, the first floor of the university.
