Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña visited the Metropolitan Campus of the Universidad Federico Henríquez y Carvajal (UFHEC) in La Romana, with its Itinerant Museum of the National Brain Bank UNPHU on March 18 of this year. There the exhibition of the Itinerant Museum was inaugurated with the “Conference: Alzheimer’s disease, its incidence in the family and society, by Dr. Daysi Acosta, former president of the World Alzheimer’s Association and researcher at UNPHU.
The cutting of the ribbon and the opening words were in charge of the Josefina Pepín Ubrí, who expressed: “The museum is to share it with you and the visitors, so that you make your own the information and discoveries explained in this exhibition, with the purpose to not be turned away from this reality that we must know, manage and face. The National Brain Bank is available to all neuroscientists in the country and anywhere in the world that requires it.”
As part of the activities, was held a workshop for caregivers of aging patients with Alzheimer. The exhibition will be available throughout April.
