niversidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), through the School of Education and in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, held the conference “PHI (FI) the most surprising number of the galactic map”, by Eliseo Cabrera, M.A. in charge of the program.
During his presentation, the speaker talked about the number Phi, and explained the mathematical relationship between numbers and the nature of reality. He has been obsessed by mathematicians, philosophers, scientists and artists and has been linked to researches on cosmology, astrophysics, star explosions, expansion of the universe, black holes, emergence of intelligent life, mollusk shells, sunflower fossils, crystallography, galaxy form, psychology, pyramids, the Parthenon, the Mona Lisa artworks by Leonardo da Vinci and The Sacrament of Salvador Dalí’s Last Supper, classical musical compositions, stock market behavior, architecture, botany, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics.
The objective of the activity was to share with teachers and students of Education.
