Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña (UNPHU) and its School of Medicine, represented by the authorities of the Faculty of Health Sciences, visited the facilities of the Vinicius Calventi Hospital, where they were received by Dr. José Alfredo Alfaro, medical director of the hospital.
The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate and discuss topics of interest concerning medical students at this school. Among the topics addressed is the renewal of an inter-institutional agreement between both entities, with which the hospital will be able to take advantage of all the educational elements of the area of Health of the library, as well as improve the training of intern and pre-intern doctors with type training, scientific conferences, and research.
Likewise, the university will facilitate all its technology, such as robotic units, laboratories, and others, and will provide its support to all initiatives from the hospital Dr. Vinicius Calventi, placing all its services in favor of the health center.
The UNPHU entourage was led by Dr. William Duke, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Eduardo García, associate dean; Dr. Claudia Scharf, director of the School of Medicine; Dr. Jehison Corporán, academic coordinator; Dr. Cindy Rodríguez, coordinator of the boarding cycle, as well as other coordinators of the boarding and pre-boarding areas.
Dr. José Alfredo Alfaro expressed his satisfaction with this academic visit and supported the plans that have been made.
