ADOFEM holds the regular meeting at UNIREMHOS

The Dominican Association of Faculties and Schools of Medicine (ADOFEM), held the regular meeting on July 20, which was held in the conference room of the University Eugenio María de Hostos (UNIREMHOS). The deans and directors’ members of ADOFEM, were received by the national rector of the institution Alberto Ramírez Cabral, Eng. Yocasta Mañón, administrative vice chancellor; Dr. Fátima Hernández, academic vice chancellor and the dean of the School of Medicine, Dr. Clementina Guilliard.

Anahid Tapia Lara, educational solutions manager, and Juan Cristóbal Zuleta of RD, who presented the topic Innovations of Learning and Teaching in Health Sciences, attended as guests of ELSEVIER from Mexico. This article analyzes international and national experiences on everything related to the Key Clinic platform. The INSPIRAT proposal was also presented, by Liceth Rocío Solarte, who showed its clinical effectiveness based on evidence of support to patients and the large methodology.

Dr. Marcos Núñez, presented the latest international information, such as: the next meeting of the WFME in April 2024, the congresses and meetings in various countries, the Glasgow Hybrid Congress, Scotland of the WFME, the CAEM Congress 2023 in Córdoba, the ASCOFAME Congress in Cartagena de Indias, from 27 to 29 September 2023, and the AAMC Congress from 3 to 6 November 2023. He also spoke about the One Health pilot project in the Dominican Republic, with the Veterinary Schools and mentioned the support received by Dr. Matews Dacso of the University of Texas (UTMB). In the same order, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of UASD, Dr. Zealand Matos, indicated that the Pharmacology should be strengthened and evaluated, based on evidence, with the platform Uptoday, by the company Inspirat.

The meeting was led by Dr. Miguel Robiou Kranwinkel, president of ADOFEM and dean of the Health area of INTEC. Representatives of the following academic institutions were present: Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), UASD, PUCMM, O&Med, INTEC, UNIBE, O&Med, UTESA and UCATECI.
