UNPHU recognizes Dr. Juan Carlos Vargas Decamps as a distinguished graduate

Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, its Direction of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management and its School of Medicine, recognized Dr. Juan Carlos Vargas Decamps as Distinguished Graduate. The scroll was delivered by the rector, Architect Miguel Fiallo Calderón.

The graduate has stood out for his outstanding contributions and work in his professional work, and for their commitment to society.  Dr. Vargas Decamps is a renowned endocrinologist-nutritionist, master in metabolic bone diseases, expert in prolotherapy and regenerative medicine, sports medicine, and specialist in chronic pain management. In 2014, she founded the Center for Intensive Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine, where he has dedicated himself to finding solutions that help improve patients’ pain.

At the event, which took place in the VIP Lounge of the university, on May 19, 2023, were present Dr. William Duke, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Dr. Claudia Scharf, director of the School of Medicine and Laura Veloz, head of the Direction of Institutional Experience and Graduate Management.

About Dr. Juan Carlos Vargas Decamps:

Graduated from UNPHU in 1986; in 1990 he obtained the degree of Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition at the Jiménez Díaz Foundation. In 1992 he finished his training in Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone and Mineral Diseases, at the same institution. From 2005 to 2014, he held the position of Coordinator of the Unit of Menopause, Bone Densitometry and Endocrinology, Hospiten, Santo Domingo.
